Our Story

We purchased the old Mississippi Belle in 2014 and opened a charming Italian eatery called, Bella Vista Italiano. After two successful years we noticed most business was on the weekends. We felt we needed a place where our guests visited nightly. In September 2016, we became Vista Rio and served Mexican food. After only five months guests missed our Italian. We decided to offer both. After a great month, and making lots of guests happy, we decided ONCE again to change concepts and put it all together. In April 2016, we relaunched as Lock and Dam Eatery. We believe this best fits the diverse tastes of Hastings. Thank you for visiting our family restaurant. Please sit back and have a dam good time!
